Brewery | September 18 Update

By The Curious Team, September, 10 2018

It’s been a couple of months since we updated on progress at the site of our new home in Ashford, Kent. What a summer it has been! With the walls going up, roof going on and floor going in, it’s time to get excited!

Over the summer the Curious Brewery has been growing out of the ground on our site next door to Ashford International Train Station. From the arrival of the first steels, the structure of the final Brewery has started to become visible as the scale of the site has emerged, and the height and aspect of the first-floor restaurant and taproom have risen dramatically upwards above the hoardings.

For those not in the know, the site is situated in the heart of Ashford town centre, just a few steps from Ashford International train station, and only 37 minutes from central London. Once open to the public early next year, our custom-built brewery will not only brew and serve great curious beer, we will also change the perception of a brewery tour, by offering a different proposition to standard brewery tours, by rewarding those who are curious to learn more in an entertaining and engaging way – we will completely modernise the experience!

On site will be a 4,000 square foot restaurant serving the freshest Curious beers and a discerning menu of fine British cuisine. Expect bold flavours and our trademark winemakers twist! There will also be a shop on site with our full range available to take out for enjoyment at home, alongside our incredible English wines and spirits from Chapel Down.

Keep a lookout on email and across our social accounts for more details on the brewery to come over the coming months as it continues to grow, the state of the art 5-vessel 50HL brewhouse and tanks arrive, and we have more exciting content to share! We cannot wait to announce the program of opening events!

And finally, watch this space for an update on the brilliant team here at Curious that make this all possible.
